At Hudec Dental, we want our patients to feel confident that they are receiving the best care and are treated as our number one priority. We take pride in our caring employees throughout every office, and each month, we choose a “featured employee” to go beyond their titles and to share more about who our employees really are. Our featured employee this month is Jorge Medina who is the Lab Director at our in-house dental lab above our Broadview Road office. Enjoy getting to know him!
Jorge was born in Springfield, MA but grew up in Puerto Rico. Later on, he lived in Connecticut for 8 years before moving here to Cleveland. For his education, he studied Industrial Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico Arecibo Campus. Though most of his family currently lives in Puerto Rico, Jorge resides here in Cleveland with his wife and 2 children. As Lab Director, his days consist if troubleshooting cases with his team, talking to our dentists, approving cases before they go out to the patients, and occasionally working cases himself. What Jorge says he enjoys most is that the company cares and helps employees maintain a good work/life balance.
His interest in dental labs began 
when his uncle introduced him to his lab in Puerto Rico and he’s enjoyed it ever since. Although his success is apparent in his career, Jorge values his 2 daughters as his greatest achievement. He encourages them and any potential new hire to Hudec Dental to “never stop learning because there is always room to improve yourself.”
In his free time, Jorge enjoys DIY projects at home, rebuilding and customizing guitars (including this amazing Hudec Dental themed guitar), playing guitar, and exploring the plethora of restaurants in Cleveland. He also enjoys surprising people with his love of heavy metal music and his hate of veggies! Jorge likes to work hard and play hard because to him family time is important, and no job should come before time with your loved ones.
