At Hudec Dental, we want our patients to feel confident that they are receiving the best care and are treated as our number one priority. We take pride in our caring employees throughout every office, and each month, we choose a “featured employee” to go beyond their titles and to share more about who our employees really are. Our featured employee this month is Tina Jones, an EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary) from our Mentor office. Enjoy!
Before settling down in Mentor, Ohio, Tina Jones has lived in many different places including Puerto Rico, Annapolis, Maryland, Virginia Beach, and Garfield Heights. Tina was hesitant to make a change in her career but took a chance on Hudec Dental and says that the rest is history. Prior to working in the dental field, Tina was in the Navy as military police. We appreciate and are thankful for her service. She now has over 25 years of dental experience, and is thrilled to be working in Mentor, her high school alma mater.
Here at Hudec Dental, what Tina says she enjoys most is the people she has met and formed relationships with both co-workers and patients. Her advice to new hires is “Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork, ask questions and don’t be afraid to fail and keep learning!” As a mother, Tina says that he children are her great achievement and her inspiration to better herself and to become a better provider. She gets a lot of her inspiration from her favorite quote which is “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent,” a famous piece from Eleanor Roosevelt.
When Tina is not in the office, she enjoys cuddling her newborn grandson, volunteering in her community, spending time with her friends and family, and finding the hidden gems of Cleveland. Her favorite travel spots are Italy and Croatia, her biggest interest/hobby is dogs and, like the rest of us, she is addicted to her phone. Tina also has a unique talent of underwater basket weaving! When asked about the one thing about her that would surprise people, she said that she is really a softy at heart.
Tina is passionate about making a difference by going above and beyond to care for every patient. She wears many different hats here at Hudec Dental including but not limited to psychiatrist, mechanic, mom, diffuser and sometimes the spark. All in all, Tina is a very valuable employee to our organization and most important to the patients she serves every day in our Mentor office.
