Being Cleveland born and raised, we try to give back to the community as often as we can. We have been serving our patients in the Cleveland area for close to 40 years and serving others is our priority. Our purpose is “to improve the quality of life of those we serve,” and we proudly continue to do that even beyond dentistry. We are proud to have donated over $50,000 to local charities and schools in 2016.
Some of our contributions include:
In 2016 we hosted our first annual Smile & Dash race at Edgewater Park. All proceeds of this event were donated to the Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland. We raised close to $11,000.
In 2016 we created the Relax. Smile. Serve. Scholarship. Since then, 37 students have been awarded with our Relax. Smile. Serve Scholarship totaling $37,000. We recognized those students who gave back to their community over their high school years. We are excited to continue this scholarship to aid the futures of students who believe in giving back to their communities.
We collected over 400 toys as a company to be distributed at Akron Children’s Hospitals to the children hospitalized during the 2016 holiday season. This was a blessing to the hospitals, as their donations were minimal prior to our contribution!
In the spirit of giving, we collected enough non-perishable food items to pack 2 SUVs! The items were donated to St. Malachi’s Back Door Ministry, which serves meals to the homeless and inner-city poor 365 days/year.
In 2016 our employees donated $1,000 to the Cleveland Food Bank along with 1,000 non-perishables. In 2017, we collected $500 and nearly 400 pounds of food!
Donated 19 baskets, created by our offices, to the Ronald McDonald House. The baskets were filled with essentials to assist the families living in the house.
Secondary sponsor of Fox 8’s Stuff the Bus. Fox 8 partners with the Cleveland Kids In Need Resource Center which provides teachers in the areas that qualify for financial help, the opportunity to “shop” for free school supplies.
Donated 250 toothbrushes and 250 toothpastes to be included in Easter baskets provided to the youth of inner city churches and non-profit social organizations.
As a company, we collected over 400 books for Bright Star Books, a nonprofit organization founded by a local family that works to put new and gently used books in the hands and homes of limited-resource children in the Greater Akron area, concentrating on reaching those ages 0 to 5.
