At Hudec Dental, we want our patients to feel confident that they are receiving the best care and are treated as our number one priority. We take pride in our caring employees throughout every office, and each month, we choose a “featured employee” to go beyond their titles and to share more about who our employees really are. Our featured employee this month is Lena Freeman who is the Patient Coordinator at our Broadview Road office. Enjoy getting to know her!
Lena grew up in Flint, Michigan and also lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She started her career at Hudec Dental as a Dental Assistant and, as of May 2018, she joined the front desk as a Patient Coordinator. Her typical day is very busy and sometimes even hectic making sure that the patient experience is comfortable and enjoyable! She first heard of Hudec Dental when her previous employer was going out of business and co-workers at the time were moving on to Hudec Dental.
Lena’s favorite part of being an employee at Hudec Dental is that she feels appreciated by the company. She aspires to be in management here and is taking the necessary steps as a Patient Coordinator! Her advice to new hires is: “come to work on time, go above and beyond, and be an excellent team player!”
When Lena is not at work she enjoys working with a Women’s Ministry, watching movies, shopping, and fashion. She also likes to sleep but a fun fact about her is that she can’t sleep in the dark so she leaves her TV on! Her favorite quote is “treat others like you want to be treated” and her dream vacation spot is Dubai or Africa.
The most important thing that Lena has learned in the last five years is the importance of your credit and future finances. She loves to: laugh, eat sweets (cupcakes and cakes…yum yum!), and loves Jesus. She also likes to spend time with her mom, sister, brother, three nieces, and her godson.
Lena is a great employee that always goes above and beyond for her team and her community. In the past, she has inspired a company-wide sock drive for the homeless and has donated leftover food and water from our 5ks to local shelters. For reasons like these, she has also been recognized as the Hudec Hotshot, our version of “Employee of the Month.” We love Lena and hope that you liked getting to know her!
