June of 2008 was a decade ago. Do you remember what was going on 10 years ago?
As far as entertainment goes, Wall-E, Don’t Mess with the Zohan, The Incredible Hulk, and Get Smart were the top movies in theatres. Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” and Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” dominated Billboard’s top 100. Gyllenspoon (Jake Gyllenhaal & Reese Whitherspoon) was our favorite celebrity couple and they were still going strong. Betty White, Bea Arthur, and Rue McClanahan received the TV Land Pop Culture award for Golden Girls. Transformers won Best Movie at the 17th annual MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Mike Meyers.
And fashion? Shutter shades, unnecessary vests over everything, and fringed moccasin boots pretty much sum it up.
Why are we looking back to 10 years ago you ask? It was in June 2008 that our 8th Hudec Dental location opened in Garfield Heights. Countless smiles have walked through our door to be seen and made sparkle by our Garfield Heights team, and we’re looking forward to another 10 years of giving our patients the smiles they deserve.
