Dr. Sofia Xofylli was born in Cologne, Germany and spent part of her childhood in Illinois. She originally is from Thessaloniki, Greece, where she grew up, went to school, and where her family now resides. She attended the Dental School of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki where she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Xofylli was inspired to become an orthodontist by her father, who is a speech pathologist and cofounder of the first Craniofacial Team in Greece. To pursue this dream, Dr. Xofylli moved to Cleveland, Ohio to complete her Orthodontic Residency and receive her Masters in the Science of Dentistry (MSD) degree from Case Western Reserve University. While at Case, her research culminated in her Thesis on Biomechanics and Orthodontic Tooth Movement with Invisalign.
Dr. Xofylli is currently an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. She is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists (GLAO), and the Dental Association of Thessaloniki, Greece.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and baking, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She loves to vacation to anywhere that allows her to swim in the Aegean Sea.
Dr. Ellisar Daher grew up in Mentor, Ohio and has been in Cleveland her whole life. After graduating from Cleveland State University, majoring in Biology, she graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, the Greater Cleveland Dental Society, and Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity. When she is not in the office, Dr. Daher enjoys photography, drawing, traveling, and watching movies.
Dr. Steven (Sunggyu) Lee grew up in Seoul, Korea and moved to the United States at the age of 12. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine where he graduated in the 95th percentile of his class and is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Lee is bilingual, has a black belt in Taekwondo, and when he is not in the office, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife, and playing basketball, soccer, and golf.
Dr. Dmitriy Yarovitsky grew up in Cleveland, OH. He attended The Ohio State University for dental school. After graduating with a D.D.S. degree, Dr. Yarovitsky underwent more training in a general practice residency program at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. In his spare time, Dr. Dmitriy Yarovitsky enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and staying active. He also likes to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Dr. Abdalla Asi attended Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine for his fellowship in Restorative Dentistry and his advanced education in General Dentistry residency. He spent part of his residency at CWRU as an instructor, teaching first and second year dental students. Dr. Asi received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Damascus University, School of Dental Medicine in Syria. When he is not active in the dental office, he spends his time at the AEGD department as a volunteering faculty member.
Dr. Duchon was born in Cleveland and has lived most of his life in the northern Ohio area. He is dedicated to the community and found it to be an ideal area to raise a family. During his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, he served in the Ohio National Guard receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1972. He received his dental degree in 1974 from Case Western Reserve University. He continued his training there and earned a masters degree and a certificate of training in Orthodontics. He also served as a clinical instructor at Case Western Reserve and as a guest lecturer at Loyola University in Chicago for many years. When he is not in the dental office, he enjoys spending time with his three children and two grandchildren. He also enjoys bicycling and participated in a number of charity rides of significant distance.
