Dr. Rany Bous was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He attended Cairo University where he received his Bachelor of Oral and Dental Medicine. Dr. Bous moved to Cleveland, Ohio for a fellowship of orthodontics at Case Western Reserve University, where he then completed his residency from 2016-2019. Dr. Bous is a Fellow, Craniofacial, Surgical and Special Care Orthodontist at Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Bous has specialized training and works with patients with special needs, cleft lip and palate, congenital craniofacial deformities, and complex surgical orthodontics. He is highly involved with the American Cleft-Palate Craniofacial Association and reviewing for the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal. Dr. Bous is also a peer reviewer of scientific articles submitted for publication to the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Cleveland Society of Orthodontics, and the Ohio Dental Association as well as many more. In 2019 alone he was the recipient of the Edward Reiter Cleft Palate Grant from Mt. Sinai Healthcare Foundation and best Oral Health Poster Abstract Award from The American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Bous grew up in a family of physicians, so the medical field has always been home to him. He studied orthodontics because of the positive impact that it can make on the patients’ self-esteem, confidence, and quality of life. He is a huge fan and player of soccer and his favorite team to watch is Barcelona. His favorite place to vacation is Thailand, he had a Doberman mix name Jack growing up and he looks forward to getting another dog soon!
